Humans are defacing and threatening their own habitat through their consumer behavior and have thus arrived in the age of the Anthropocene. In the module we research problems and discuss alternative, sustainable solutions.

LESSONS STRUCTURE
In the first lessons, students explore typography and how different feelings are illustrated through the use of different typefaces. They research a freely chosen topic and develop a poster campaign to bring attention to this issue. To support them in their process, we discuss alternative solutions to Global Issues such as Climate Crisis, Mobility, Fast Fashion, Overpopulation, etc. They then condense their sharpened concerns into a headline and design an image to go with it. Students also get an introduction to Adobe Photoshop to crop images and create collages. At the end, they present their posters to the class.
